Via U.S. Postal Service: Inmates’ families and friends can choose to send prisoners funds by way of the mail and will have to send money to the following address and do so in accordance with the policies listed below:

The deposit must be in a money order made out to the prisoner’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. Has anyone use a matricula to visit an inmate in hutchins?

  2. Lachelle J says:

I do not have any good reports about this unit. I have a friend who has been there for only a couple of months and has nothing but horrible stories to share with me. The staff is not friendly, and they don’t seem to care about the inmates. My friend is always being picked on. Some one has actually died in his unit do to lack of care and no immediate attention to his medical concern. He does not like to eat the food because someone has found a rat in their food, and a few weeks later and roach. It is not clean and my friend is concerned for his health. My friend mentioned that the toliets get stopped up and no one cares to fix them. My friend gets cold at night and does not have a bed pad nor a blanket to sleep on. The only time my friend feels normal is when I talk to him on the phone. The conditions and treatment is not okay and I am concerned for him and something needs to be done about this unit.
